In December, a federal grand jury subpoenaed six doctors of Crystal Run. The doctors had filed a lawsuit against the company and accused it of self-dealing. The attorneys demanded information about a $25,000 campaign donation made by Crystal Run executives. That would have been a violation of state law. The case was ultimately settled, but the Crystal Run physicians’ lawyers remain in the spotlight. It’s unclear whether the investigation is related to Crystal Run’s operations, but it is still a scandal.
